We’ve been looking back over some of our highlights for 2023.
In January we launched a coffee themed print exhibition at Opposite Cafe with a range of prints by our members.
We took part in Armley Print Fest in February, doing demos using their archive of letterpress type at Leeds Industrial Museum.
Our members took part in the 2020 Print Exchange again this year, creating 30 different editions of prints using different techniques.
We supported the relaunch of Come Find Us in May and have met some great people on their cultural tours in the Mabgate area.
In the summer we delivered screen printing activities for families and visitors of the North Leeds Food Festival and Harrogate Food Festival.
We hosted the wonderful Caitlin Burns on our Graduate Award in Printmaking residency scheme in August and September.
We’ve worked with East Street Arts on a printing marathon for the Hidden Histories of New Briggate project.
We ran print and bookbinding activities at Leeds Corn Exchange as part of Leeds 2023 heritage week.
As well as that, we’ve welcomed over 400 people through our workshop and course programme and inducted 51 new members. It’s been a busy year!
A huge thank you to everyone we’ve met along the way. Thank you for your support. We also couldn’t do what we do without the support of our freelance team and volunteers too.
It’s not easy at the moment for independent businesses and community organisations so every course booking, visitor, like, comment and share really mean a lot.
Enjoy the last few days of the year and we’ll see you for lots more printmaking fun in 2024!
