We’re really excited to let you know that the workshop is going to get a colourful new facelift thanks to a mural by Goat Collective.
East Street Arts generously offered a commission for a mural to go on the facade of the Vicar Lane building that will house the Leeds Print Workshop. We’ve heard that this commission has gone to Goat Collective, a Leeds artist group whose work we really enjoy.
Goat Collective plan to paint over the whole of the distinctive front of the Vicar Lane building, while still leaving space for plenty of light to come through those big semi-circular windows that we love so much. We’ve had a sneak peek at Goat Collectives plans for the mural, which will include shapes and motifs from the surrounding architecture.
This mural is going to make the building look distinctive, while tying into to the local area and emphasising links to the community. That really works for Leeds Print Workshop because we’re all about building connections through creative community – and we’re pleased that our workshop is going to stand out and draw more people in!
