Are you aged 15-18 and interested in studying art and design subjects at college or university? Then join us on a FREE five-week printmaking course and explore different techniques to help develop your artistic skills and build your portfolio of work.
The sessions will cover monoprinting, collograph, linocut and drypoint printmaking techniques.
Bring along your own sketchbooks, ideas and school projects to inspire your prints using the different processes.
You’ll come away with a series of prints onto paper and lots of ideas for future projects, and you’ll work with professional print tutors and technicians in the Leeds Print Workshop space.
You don’t need to have any previous experience as the tutor will guide you through each process in a step-by-step way. All the processes lend themselves well to simple image making using pattern as well as representational images so don’t be put off if you don’t feel confident with drawing.
Upcoming Dates:
The next 5 week Young Printmakers Course will run 4:00pm – 5:45pm on Wednesdays 10th January – 7th February 2024.
Booking T&Cs
Our Young Printmakers courses are supported with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, this has enabled us to make them free to ensure the course is accessible to all young people, but booking is essential.
When booking if you are able to add a donation to your order this would be very much appreciated. Leeds Print Workshop is a not-for-profit cooperative, where any profits are reinvested back into our facilities and our community, in order to make creativity and printmaking available to all.
